Chobani Flip Carrot Cake Creation Greek Yogurt

Carrot yogurt makes me think of what an elderly Bugs Bunny would eat at a nursing home while saying, “Eh… What’s up, doc?” to actual doctors.

The Chobani Flip Carrot Cake Creation has low-fat sweet carrot yogurt. Some of you might find the idea of vegetable yogurt off-putting. But I’m here to tell you it’s not bad and it doesn’t matter.

It doesn’t matter because of what you “flip” into the yogurt, which is a mixture of cinnamon glazed cake pieces, walnuts, and white chocolate chunks.

The yogurt on its own is surprisingly pleasant. Your taste buds will know it’s carrot flavored, but then their follow-up thought will be something about how sweet the yogurt is. Think of it as candied carrot flavored. There are carrot bits floating in the yogurt, but once the mix-ins are added, you won’t even know they’re there.

The cinnamon glazed cake pieces, which let’s be honest aren’t really cake pieces because they’re crunchy, do a great job at making the carrot yogurt taste more like cinnamon yogurt.

The walnuts were, um, there? I’ll be honest I forgot this had walnuts as I ate it. My photos show walnuts, but I guess their not-very-strong flavor got lost among the other mix-ins.

As for the white chocolate chunks, they add a creamy flavor that combined with the tang from the yogurt could be argued as “cream cheese frosting flavor.” They also add a different texture than the crunchy mix-ins.

But the yogurt as a whole doesn’t make me instantly think of carrot cake. It’s missing the other spices in the dessert. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say it’s like a cinnamon donut with cream cheese frosting. I mean, that still sounds great and Bugs Bunny would approve, but not quite carrot cake.

Pros: Taste like a cinnamon donut with cream cheese frosting. Carrot yogurt is surprisingly pleasant. A number of textures. Tang of yogurt and white chocolate could be considered cream cheese frosting.
Cons: Doesn’t quite taste like carrot cake. The idea of vegetable yogurt might be weird to some. Walnuts were there, but not there.

Two things nutritionists might tell us we should eat more of are yogurt and oatmeal. Yoplait combined the two for their Plenti Oatmeal line.

After plunging my spoon into it, the first thing I noticed was how thick it was. Greek yogurt is usually thick, but the oats made it elementary school paste-like. It felt as if stirring would give my wrists a slight workout.

But, thankfully, there’s no need for stirring because the oats are swimming in the yogurt. This results in the oats being a little slimy and chewy. It’s slightly weird, and probably a deal breaker for many of you, but I like to tap into my inner Calvin and pretend I’m eating the eggs of an alien to save humanity.

The yogurt tastes like Yoplait strawberry yogurt, but the oats give it a slight starchiness. There are also several fruit chunks floating around. But they don’t do anything to enhance the strawberry flavor.

Nutritionists would say oatmeal is a good source of fiber, but Yoplait Plenti Oatmeal isn’t that great. It provides only two grams.

Overall, I liked this and, just like with the original Yoplait Plenti, I didn’t mind its texture. The amount of fiber is sad, but the oats make me feel I’m eating something substantial. For many of you the texture will turn you off and I completely understand. But if you enjoy strawberry Greek yogurt that’s feels like you’re chewing on alien eggs and paste, then you might like Yoplait’s Plenti Oatmeal Strawberry Greek Yogurt.

Minty Greek yogurt flavors are rare; there aren’t many of its kind.
So it’s nice Chobani added Peppermint Perfection to the Flip line.
White peppermint and dark chocolate chunks bring winter and bitter.
While the numerous dark chocolate cookies bits are crunch emitters.
They’ll take a short trip into vanilla Greek yogurt when you flip.
They’ll drop into the yogurt as if a dunk tank bullseye you hit.
The peppermint’s power won’t clear your nostrils like Altoids would.
If it was peppermint yogurt it might’ve cleared your nose real good.
It would have been nice if the peppermint was turn up several bits.
Then it would always taste like Chobani with Girl Scout Thin Mints.
Some spoonfuls had peppermint flavor, but most had none at all.
Not having enough white chocolate chunks is its only downfall.
But while peppermint wasn’t in every spoonful I put into my mouth,
the dark chocolate cookies and chunks kept the flavor from going south.
The cookie pieces stayed crunchy as I ate through the mixture.
And the chocolate chunks had a snap that gave it a varying texture.
Chobani’s Peppermint Perfection isn’t perfect, but it’s still a hit.
It’s a seasonal flavor so head to your nearest store and get it quick.

Yoplait’s Plenti Strawberry Greek Yogurt has 140 calories, so this review will have exactly 140 words.

The highlight of this yogurt are the whole grain oats, flax, and pumpkin seeds floating IN the yogurt. There’s no side mix-ins compartment like Chobani Flip or mix-ins in the cover like YoCrunch. Yoplait continues to make it so easait for folks who like simple yogurt instructions.

The yogurt tastes and looks like regular Yoplait strawberry yogurt with bits of fruit. As for the texture of the whole grain oats, flax, and pumpkin seeds that have been sitting in yogurt for days or weeks, they were soft and squishy like quinoa in a quinoa salad. Their texture was weird at first, but halfway through I didn’t mind it. To be honest, if they were still crunchy I would’ve yelled, “Science, what have you done!”
