SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Lay’s Wavy Greek Tzatziki Potato Chips

Lay's Wavy Greek Tzatziki

Were you like me and jealous about tzatziki being one of the finalists for Canada’s Lay’s Do Us a Flavour contest, but not a U.S. finalist? Well, be jealous no more because tzatziki-flavored Lay’s chips are now in the U.S. Although the Canadian ones were Lay’s Kettle Cooked and these are Lay’s Wavy. (Spotted by Wendy at Costco.)

  1. MUST………..FIND…………..THESE……….!!! Then again, the last time I was this excited for a Lay’s chip was the Mango Salsa, and that turned out to be the worst thing I ate all of 2014. Still, I can’t see these getting screwed up.

    1. I also hated the Mango Salsa chips. They had the most bizarre flavor I have ever tasted and I don’t mean in a good way, even though I love actual mango salsa. However, someone brought a bag of the Tzatziki chips to work and they were DELICIOUS! That is, if you like sour cream, seasonings and cucumber flavoring. Yum.

  2. Let’s hope the other four flavors aren’t a rehash of ‘Burger’, or Bacon and Cheese… Dissapointed that Garlic Bread tasted exactly like the Sour Cream and Onion…

  3. I want to say Archer Farms had a version of these a while back, and assuming they did, they were delicious. In any case I’m always one for odd/unique flavored chips (or soda) and can’t wait to try them, kind of bummed I can’t find the Wasabi & Ginger though.

  4. Oh come on… This flavor which was done a whole mess load of times for the 2014 USA Do Us A Flavor Contest does not make it into the final four, but is now a 2015 released USA flavor.!?!?!?!?!?!?

  5. Man, that flavor sounds really good, like refreshing but flavorful and herbaceous all in a crunchy oily potato form. I’m going to have to find if Kroger or Walmart sells them near me because I really want to try these now.

  6. Got a bag of these at Costco yesterday, and let me be the first to say: THEY ARE FANTASTIC. The tzatziki flavor is very well done incorporating the flavors found in this classic sauce.

  7. I bought these at Costco this week – they had the guy with the samples and I couldn’t resist after trying them. They taste like a more savoury sour cream and onion meets a light dill pickle.

    1. Yes – that’s exactly it! Well said! They were sampling them at my Costco today, and I bought a bag. The only thing is you can’t sit with the flavor too long afterward, or it turns to metallic garlic. Best eat these with some dip as an appetizer, or get the toothpaste out.

  8. Someone brought a bag of these into work the other day and I thought they were delicious! I could taste sour cream, seasonings and cucumber. I’m heading to Costco after work tomorrow to see if my Costco has them.

  9. Costco sized bags weren’t big enough!!! I couldn’t get enough of these! I haven’t been able to find these any where. Bring them back costco!!!
