FAST FOOD NEWS: Tim Horton’s Poutine Donut, Maple Bacon Iced Capp, and Maple Timbits

Tim Horton s Poutine Donut Maple Bacon Iced Capp and Maple Timbits

Tim Horton’s restaurants in the U.S. will be celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday with a trio of limited time Canadian-inspired products.

The Poutine Donut is a Honey Dip Donut topped with potato wedges, gravy, and cheese curds. If that’s not your cup of pou-tea, the chain is also offering Maple Timbits, which are maple-flavored donut holes. Finally, there’s the Maple Bacon Iced Capp. It’s an Iced Capp topped with whipped cream, maple flakes, and bacon bits.

If the Poutine Donut and/or the Maple Bacon Iced Capp has you salivating, you should know they’re only available on Saturday, July 1 (tomorrow). As for the Maple Timbits, they’ll be available throughout July, while supplies last.

If you’ve tried any of the products, especially the Poutine Donut, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

  1. I have always wanted to try poutine. Now’s my chance! I’ll be there tomorrow!

    1. This is as close to a poutine as a Luther burger is to an Five Guys burger.
On behalf of Canada, we’re sorry…

      1. Seriously, why hasn’t poutine taken off in the US? I mean, it involves cheese, gravy, and fried potatoes. It is the sort of drunk food/fair food that is, on paper, right up our alley! I have had it once, and only once, and it was a memorable experience.

        There were no donuts involved.

Maple Timbits sound good, however, and I’m pretty sure there is actually a Tim Hortons pretty near me and… maybe it’s about time I visited…

        1. Americana love chilli too much to give up the chilli cheese fries in lieu of the most magnificent of dishes aka poutine.

          1. Maybe that’s it! So many Americans feel everything has to be spicy that regular gravy on fries wouldn’t cut it. I’m gonna ask Sylvie to answer all my questions!

  2. These aren’t available across all the US. Only 5 locations: 3 in WNY, OH, and MI.

    1. Well that’s a bummer. We have a Tim Hortons in my Ohio town but Columbus is 2 hours away. Not gonna happen x
