“Over 100 crispy Old World Pepperonis.”
I muttered that to myself while wiping the grease off my fingers. Another 10 counted. Another tally mark. I certainly questioned my sanity a few times over the counting process. It looked to be over a hundred, so why not just make up some random number? Nay, dear readers. This site has the utmost integrity, and if Little Caesars claimed over 100 pepperonis, we’re going to fact-check it for you.
The Little Caesars Old World Fanceroni Pepperoni Pizza is the current specialty item from the pizza chain. Claiming to be covered in over 100 crispy old world pepperonis, this large pizza is a step up from the chain’s regular pepperoni pizza. Old world pepperoni is fairly different from the standard stuff in several ways. It’s cut thicker, which is one of the causes for its signature curl and cup shape after cooking. It’s also made with natural casings and a different fermentation process to give us a richer, spicier flavor. My introduction to them has only happened within the last few years, and I adore them.
So it was a no-brainer that I would try Little Caesars’ take on my favorite little grease cups. At first look, the pizza didn’t quite get the “all the way to the edge” pepperoni coverage as advertised. In fact, it was a messy looking pizza. I tried a slice before the great count began (there were 11 of them) to make sure I tasted it as intended. The old world slices were perfect: a little spicy, rich, greasy, and crispy around the edges.
The higher quality pepperonis really elevated the entire experience. Little Caesars pizza tends to be a few levels above frozen pizza for me (sorry, devotees), but the higher-end topping made it feel more luxurious. I wouldn’t have guessed I was eating a Little Caesars pizza. The crust, sauce, and cheese don’t stand out as particularly good or bad. They’re merely a vehicle for the over 100 pepperonis.
Now, the thing I’m sure some of you have been scanning for: The total I got was…(drum roll) 111! There is a margin of error of +/- 3 pepperonis thanks to my husband’s sneaky little fingers, but I’m confident in it being over the promised 100 slices.
While I enjoyed this offering from Little Caesars, I want to emphasize the old world style pepperoni is the predominant flavor and overshadows the rest of the pizza’s ingredients. The grease level is pretty high (I mean, 111 slices will do that), and it might be too much for some. I’m already planning to order it again (let’s see if I can get it on the Detroit-style crust), but my old world pepperoni quota will be fulfilled for a bit after that.

I’ve never understood the “meh” nature of reviewers when it comes to little Caesars cheese. That one part muenster, 2 part mozzarella mix is thicker, more flavorful and simply miles better than any of the other big national chains. Of course, it only helps when you get enough of it, but still.
Not sure this old world pepperoni pizza will be worth the almost $3 upcharge over an extra most bestest, but I’m sure I’ll try at least once.
They have my favourite cheese blend of chain pizza places!

They did a poor job making yours. The cheese goes right to the edge and caramelizes if made correctly.
Wow, you didn’t get yours made right either. I’ve tried two local LC’s and they both made it incorrectly: one had a bunch of the cupped pepperoni but was on the big floofy hot & ready crust and the other basically made it like a hot & ready pizza with the cupped pepperoni spaced out all over (probably 20 slices tops).
I’ve checked Twitter and I haven’t seen a correctly-made one yet, either. The only place I’ve seen someone with a properly-made one is on TheReportOfTheWeek’s review video. I’m guessing these must be a nightmare to make and LC workers are revolting by just making them like hot & ready’s or LC’s corporate must not have sent instructions out to their franchisees.
Total bummer because the properly-made one looks delicious, but it’s just offensive to pay $10 for what is essentially a hot & ready when they screw it up.
I can imagine a Little Caesar’s employee is on auto-pilot as much of the day as possible and introducing a pizza that is kind of the same as another pizza (hey it’s pepperoni, but not THAT pepperoni, it’s THIS pepperoni) is an unnecessary annoyance. Of course I’d be upset if I didn’t get what I paid for either but I have a hard time blaming the employees.
The weird thing is they used to have that smokehouse pizza with tons of toppings that didn’t have the problem this pizza has. I guess maybe they just have too many pepperoni types so yeah, workers go on auto-pilot and just make like the hundreds of other pepperoni pizzas they make every week.
I don’t see what makes that either unnecessary or an annoyance.
They looks like soime sloppy pepperoini placement.
I just ordered this pizza. I took one look and knew it was not “over 100 crispy pepperoni”. I got 57 “kind of flaccid” pepperoni. But I also know that our local Little Caesars staff have the mentality, “You’re getting Little Caesars pizza, what do you expect?”

Dogs Are Racist?
This looks nothing like the photo advertised on the LC website. Especially the crust. It almost looks like they gave you a hand tossed pizza instead. Right?
Can Dogs be Masturbate?
There’s 8 slices not 10, you didn’t get ALL the pepperoni you should have, and they didn’t use the correct crust or make it correctly, with sauce and cheese and PEPPERONI to the EDGE all the way around, look at the PROMOTIONAL pictures and compare with what you got, your pizza wasn’t made correctly or well by your location and should have been replaced with a CORRECTLY made one.
Very yummy pizza sad to see it not available anymore. Did not seem like 100 pepperonis on the pizzas so not really worth 9.99 kinda false advertising if you ask me!
my fanceroni only had 60 pepperoni’s….. on top of that my messed up my entire order…. for me personally, it was just complete negligence. the first pizza wasnt made correctly, the second pizza was the Fanceroni pizza, and i was shorted by 40 slices of pepperoni….then the call of duty bundle. the code that came w/ the receipt didnt work. kept saying invalid code. I was also given regular mountain dew not the call of duty ones that have the codes. I brought it to there attention and they told me that its not there problem. idk, just seems that they didnt want to take care their customer…..
I’ve ordered three of these pizzas. The first one was great probably close to 100 pepperonis the next two or sorely lacking pepperoni and cheese. If you ask me it’s false advertisement if they advertise 100 pepperonis your pizza shouldn’t be 35, 45,55 pepperonis. I also ordered extra sauces and the containers were barely half full. Too bad Little Caesars has become a rip off as they were one of my favorite pizzas. I attempted to contact Little Caesars through their webpage. No response not a word nothing.
Holly,
This was such an excellent read and really helped us cement our dinner choices tonight. Thank you. For what you’ve done here, it is truly appreciated.
