REVIEW: Coca-Cola Limited Edition Dreamworld

Coca Cola Limited Edition Dreamworld Bottle

Coca-Cola thinks dreams taste like mango. And after pondering about it for longer than any sane person should, it makes sense that Coca-Cola’s Limited Edition Dreamworld is a tropical fruit-flavored cola.

For a lot of people, if you ask them what their dream vacation is, it would probably be a trip to a tropical destination where they can lounge on a beach under the sun, like Hawaii or the Caribbean, especially during the winter months. Price is Right contestants jumping up and down when a tropical island trip ends up being a prize can’t be wrong. And what fruit is considered “tropical”? Mangoes, my friend. So maybe by drinking Coca-Cola Dreamworld, you can imagine yourself sitting on a beach towel, getting your vitamin D via sunshine, and watching and listening to the waves gently crash onto the beach.

Too simplistic of an explanation? Okay. How about this one?

In this day and age of social media and the pressure to present ourselves as awesome and living the best life when in reality it is not awesome, the mango is the best representation of the dream world we wish to put up on social media, a bright, sweet fruit that looks good in photos.

I don’t know if either explanation is even close to being correct. But what I do know is that Coca-Cola Dreamworld is terrific, and it’s the best tasting of the Coca-Cola Creations flavors so far. Once I found out via my first sip that it was mango flavored, my eyes lit up like a Price is Right contestant who just found out they could win a new car because I don’t know if I’ve said this anywhere on this site, but I love mango.

Coca Cola Limited Edition Dreamworld Zero Sugar Bottles

My taste buds also thought they noticed some orange (another tropical fruit) and papaya (another tropical fruit), but it’s definitely mango flavored. Although, the level of fruitiness is noticeably lower than what I tasted with last year’s Pepsi Mango. There’s also a Zero Sugar version, which is also great (although not as good as Zero Sugar Starlight), but I prefer the full sugar one.

To me, dreams are flavorless abysses in your mind that contain fragments of one’s memories and experiences pieced together to create incoherent flipbooks of images that have no meaning. So I’m glad Coca-Cola took a brighter route and decided that dreams taste like mangoes because the fruit makes me happy, and so does Coca-Cola Dreamworld.

  1. Ooh I love the Pepsi mango flavor, but def prefer coke over pepsi so if I see this somewhere I’ll have to pick it up!

    1. Publix has it “buy any Coke product and get a Coke Dreamworld free this week. I paid $2.19 and got 2 – 20oz cokes. One of which was the Dreamworld.

  2. The dreamworld coke was the nastiest flavor they could’ve made. the after taste, taste like crown apple.

    1. I agree that was the nastiest pop that I wasted almost $3 to buy one it just about made me throw up it’s the worst

    2. I agree completely I had forgotten that the name of the previous flavour Starlight that I liked a lot this Dreamworld is the nastiest thing I’ve ever tasted! More like Nightmare world!

  3. Well, how to describe this flavor. Sort of peach-mango-something else smell. The taste however, was a real eye opener. We tried it well chilled, over ice. First, the peach-mango flavor then, SWEATY ARMPIT! No, we have never tasted an actual sweaty armpit, but it tasted the same way a sweaty armpit smelled! And the after-taste, more sweaty armpit with just the very micro-bit of citrus. Stick to the regular flavor Coke. Please please PLEASE, no more of these flavor nightmares! Coca Cola makers, you have managed to create a flavor WORSE than the Starlight Coke. Enough already!

  4. I love mangoes. I hate this nasty, brown swill. I hate to waste things, but it got poured out after one sip. To make matters worse, the aftertaste lingers for a looooong time. It is absolutely horrible stuff.

  5. When I first sipped it, I tasted passionfruit. And I love passionfruit. But I do taste the mango, and maybe papaya?

  6. It tasted peach to me and Coca-Cola is from Georgia, so that could either make sense or be too on the nose.

  7. I would have to say that dreamworld cove is a poor excuse for Coca-Cola it’s awful well not awful but if I wanted mango I’d buy mango

  8. To me it tastes like fresh peaches. But I prefer Lipton peach tea, not carbonated and not near as sweet.

  9. I am trying one right now. Its kind of gross. Reminds me of a Raspberry and Peach Ice Tee mix with soda. Others may enjoy it but for me it taste way too much that the raspberry and peach Tea’s that I also find gross/

  10. Y’all commentors are insane. this is great. The only creation I didn’t like was starlight, this is refreshing.

  11. I just opened one, took a couple of swallows, and poured it out. Ewww! Tasted nothing like a peach or a mango or any other fruit. It was overly sweet and reminded me of licorice.

  12. The Coca-Cola Dream World most nastiest drink I ever tasted and mad I brought 2 of the 20 oz bottles, My dollars went down the drain literally. I will stick to my diet coca – cola Thanks

    1. That is exactly right. It taste like Cough syrup. You know the stuff you would only partake of it in the smallest possible quantities and only if the alternative was dying. Absolutely horrible

  13. This made me literally LOL in the middle of my students eating lunch in the classroom, I have to agree with you, worst tasting flavor ever. I didn’t think it could get any worse than the Startlight, but boy was I wrong.

  14. I almost bought it and thank gosh I didn’t…. I have a mango allergy. My first instinct was to look up what was in it because it didn’t show anything like mango in it and I was having a hard time seeing anyone talking about the flavor just like clickbaited things that never said the ingredients then I finally saw one actually mention mango so I put it back. I mean like I understand the excitement of unknown fruit flavors but like… there are people with fruit allergies and stuff so isn’t it kinda harmful keeping flavors a secret??? Idk it could just be me who thinks this but like I know someone with a strawberry allergy.

  15. With Dreamworld Zero Sugar, Coca Cola has been able to answer the question, “What if you put NyQuil through a SodaStream?”
NyQuil can put you straight to sleep, so I guess that tracks with the Dreams element?

  16. I could not figure out the flavor… needless to say wont be purchasing this cola product again. It’s a NO for me.

  17. My husband said it tasted like purfume smells when someone walks by you with too much on! I agree. Dumped it!

  18. I finally gave up trying to get a 20oz bottle of Dreamworld, since it is always out of stock when I order one from Kroger’s or Meijer’s via Instacart. So I broke down in mid-November and got a 10-pack of the mini cans, which miraculously were indeed in stock.

I never have succeeded getting Starlight either, or Mountain Dew Livewire Orange. Sprite’s winter spice mix is never really in stock either (Instacart lies saying it is). My life is pathetic and trying new soda flavors is my only excitement. They need to get better distribution.

I thought Dreamworld Coke was ok but not something to buy again. I couldn’t figure out the flavor until I looked it up online, but then I could taste the mango and maybe some citrus. I’m just not good at recognizing these mystery flavors. I liked it best as a slushie (tried an ounce or so and then put the rest in a plastic bottle in the freezer for a few hours).

What I really want is orange vanilla Coke but that is either extinct or endangered.

  19. If you put diet coke in a tropical mango vitamin water bottle that you just finished ! It taste like dream coke . Coke owns vitamin water so its safe to say the flavor syrup used is the same for their newest vitamin water! Tryy itt!!!

  20. In my opinion, the drink also has a very pleasant, fruity scent! It reminds me of those Mambo fruit candies or whatever they are called, and I really like the design for the label!
