QUICK REVIEW: Ultimate Chicken Helper Cheddar Broccoli

Chicken Helpter Ultimate Cheddar Broccoli

Purchased Price: $3.00 (on sale)
Size: 8.9 oz.
Purchased at: Safeway
Rating: 6 out of 10
Pros: Creamy and cheesy. Made with real cheddar cheese. Quick and simple to prepare. I’d make it again if I was feeling slightly more energetic than microwaveable meal lazy. Pasta was cooked just right. Better when you add your own broccoli. Thank goodness Betty Crocker didn’t call it Xtreme Chicken Helper.
Cons: What makes it “Ulitmate” is kind of lame; it’s just a creamy cheddar cheese sauce packet. Cheese sauce packet doesn’t seems to make it creamier than non-Ultimate Chicken Helper. Size of broccoli pieces look like someone sneezed on a cutting board that was just used to chop broccoli and all the leftover bits flew onto this dish.

PRIZE DRAWING: Because I Want Some of You To Try Dairy-Free Frozen Treats

IMG_2941

You know how some people say they were into a band before they hit it big? Well, I was into Tofutti before you read about them in this sentence.

It was the 1980s and my parents wanted to stop my intake of ICEEs, so instead they got me soft serve Tofutti in a cone. Being from a Japanese family, we ate tofu regularly…well, my parents ate them, I stared at them with contempt. All I thought tofu could be was white, bland blocks, but Tofutti changed my perception with their tasty, dairy-free soft serve, which came in vanilla or chocolate.

Tofutti has grown since then and now they’ve got more dairy-free frozen treats than you can shake a cow’s tail at. They offer cones, bars, pints, and sandwiches.

The folks at Tofutti sent me a bunch of free product coupons to give away to Impulsive Buy readers. How many? Let’s just say, if I were in a club, I could make it rain Tofutti coupons. With so many coupons there will be 10 winners.

If you’re wondering if Tofutti products are available in your area, use the store locator on the Tofutti website.
