Burger King will start testing a possible plant-based follow-up to its Impossible Whopper — the Impossible Croissan’wich.

The breakfast sandwich will feature all the usual accoutrements you’d find with a Croissan’wich – toasted croissant, egg, and cheese – but will come with a seasoned plant-based sausage patty.

The test will begin at participating restaurants in late January in the following markets:

  • Savannah, GA
  • Albuquerque, NM
  • Montgomery, AL
  • Lansing, MI
  • Springfield, IL

Starbucks has added two new beverage to its permanent menu that feature plant-based milk alternatives.

The Almondmilk Honey Flat White combines shots of Blonde Espresso and steamed almondmilk with a hint of honey. A tall has 120 calories, 4 grams of fat, 0 grams of saturated fat, 100 milligrams of sodium, 22 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 18 grams of sugar, 2 grams of protein, and 130 milligrams of caffeine.

News Coconutmilk Latte

If almondmilk isn’t your plant-based milk du jour, then Starbucks also has its new Coconutmilk Latte that brings together Blonde Espresso and steamed coconutmilk with a Cascara sugar topping. A grande has 130 calories, 8 grams of fat, 7 grams of saturated fat, 160 milligrams of sodium, 14 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 12 grams of sugar, 1 gram of protein, and 150 milligrams of caffeine.
