Whenever I see something that is cupcake flavored, I always wonder what makes it cupcake flavored, and not cake flavored.
The name. That’s it. “Cupcake” sounds fancier and more descriptive than simply “cake”.
It’s the same conspiracy that is behind everything birthday cake flavored.
Lol. “Birthday Cake” flavour always cracks me up because it seems to simply suggest that a “birthday cake” is a vanilla cake with excessive rainbow sprinkles. I don’t recall ever as a child requesting my birthday cake to be that…celebration cakes take on many forms!
Right?? It is so bizarre since that flavor already has a name, Confetti/Funfetti cake! Why call it something else? Maybe “funfetti” is a trademarked term or something, but I doubt “confetti” is? Idunno. And obviously birthday cake can be any flavor a person wants, but when I look up “birthday cake” recipes the most common flavor pairing is definitely not funfetti, but yellow cake with chocolate frosting.
